Graphic Design

I think this was the only task that I felt a thrall to. The words ‘graphic design’ did nothing to help me and I surmise I had better put my diploma into good use. I had three years of experience in making countless of graphic work and I mused that it can’t be that difficult.

The ideation was done pretty quick. My teammates helped research on the contents of the topic we were going to create on and I volunteered (read: sacrificed) myself to do the poster design on Adobe AI. Once we had written down all of our research and pointers, I tasked myself to create a few moodboards to give Ms. Fahimah a feel of what the poster was going to look like. She approved it and so I went to work on creating the poster.

It might be the self-doubt haunting me because it took me far longer than I needed to do the poster up. A perfectionist, I had switched fonts countlessly, constantly whining at the fonts loudly that Ann had gripped me by the shoulders to scream that any font was fine and I was being picky. I really was, honestly. The first draft was done and I felt relief to know that Ms. Fahimah had approved the design of the poster, only slight changes on the grammar and PSB logo was needed to be done. I was glad that she didn’t outright hated it, I doubt I have enough creative juices to redo the whole poster.

The layout of the poster was a challenge to me but I enjoyed creating the logos for the poster. It looks like hot garbage to my eyes, but you could say that it is hot garbage that I am intimate with.
