Feature Stories
I took this task the moment I saw ‘stories’ on it. Granted, I should’ve read what the brief was actually about but I liked writing. I can’t say that I’m good at it but I was at least competent enough to know the difference of ‘your’ and ‘you’re’. I needed a partner for this task however and so I grabbed my friend to work it with. Needless to say, Raihana wasn’t enjoying the prospect of having to write but I reassured her worries.
It was relatively easy to to conceptualize a story for the task. All of the stories had to be about PSB so that narrowed down what was needed to be researched. We went simple with the ideas, either finding places to eat or places to study. With each concept learnt from the other modules, we added the idea of writing about ways to de-stress. It felt relevant at least.
Writing, if we were being honest here, is a dread to do and we found it harder and harder to keep focus on writing the actual story. We found a way to stop that though. We made a note to write at night, less distractions, and because Google documents had a function where we can see each other writing in real time, we’d send each other a ‘warning’ message whenever it seemed like we had gotten distracted. It helped somewhat and we managed to write the stories.
